Someone had to
come up with this.

That would be Nibras Ahmed and Niko De Gallo. Shock Therapy has taken its mix of stand-up, surprise lineups and live shocks from The Hairy Lemon to Top Secret in the East Village.

Wait. Do I get shocked?

No. The audience watches. According to the show’s own FAQ, the comedians picked from the bucket are the ones who get shocked.

What actually happens?

Stand-up sets, with a twist: selected comedians perform while using a TENS unit. That’s the premise. The jokes are their problem.
