Two comedians. One very specific idea: a stand-up show where comedians get shocked live.

Shock Therapy brings that idea to New York stages, with secret headliners, surprise lineups and a bucket pull for comedians. The audience gets to watch it unfold.

From earlier shows at The Hairy Lemon to the latest nights at Top Secret, the premise stays gloriously unreasonable.

The short version

They tell jokes.
Things get weird.
You watch.

The show’s FAQ is clear: audience members don’t get shocked. That part is for the comedians pulled from the bucket.

Reasonable questions.

Unreasonable
evening.

Wait. Do I get shocked?

No. The audience watches. According to the show’s own FAQ, the comedians picked from the bucket are the ones who get shocked.

What actually happens?

Stand-up sets, with a twist: selected comedians perform while using a TENS unit. That’s the premise. The jokes are their problem.
